Kalp Pandaya, a male of 18 years from Banswara, Rajasthan, was diagnosed with Amblyopia when he was 6 years of age and since then he was struggling to get a positive answer and treatment which can help him see better with his both eyes after he was diagnosed to have high Myopia and at first only his spectacle prescription came as RE -6.00 and Left Eye -4.00 in Ahmedabad and was advised with Patching. As it’s a cumbersome method and old method he couldn’t follow and didn’t do. He visited several hospitals, Clinics but none was able to help him and around 14 years of age finally he got diagnosed this decreased vision as Lazy Eye or Amblyopia. His vision started hindering day to day activities, seeing from black board, while playing, recognising faces, blurry vision and wherever he consulted all said at this age now cannot be treated. He was upset and frustrated and started searching treatment options and came to Visual Eyes in April. His presenting vision was 3 meters in Amblyopic Eye and 6/6 with glasses in other eye. His depth perception wasn’t there (3D vision) and near also was compromised. We started his therapy from 14th September. In a month first follow up was done and with his glasses he improved to 6/24 and later to 6/15. He was finally prescribed contact lenses as there was huge disparity in powers of both eyes. Now his vision is 6/6 in both eyes, stereo Acuity is 40 sec of Arc which was Flat Fusion (No depth perception) earlier. He is happy now and team Visual Eyez wishes hi all success in his life…
