Vision Rehabilitation

It is the process of restoring functional ability and improving quality of life and independence in an individual who has lost visual function through illness or injury.

VISION REHABILITATION

With low vision it is hard or impossible to do many of your normal tasks but Vision Rehabilitation gives patient insight and intensive training and teaches ways to adapt new ways to make the most of the vision you do have.

Vision rehabilitation services allow people who have recently:

  • Lost vision,
  • Blind,
  • Low vision

To continue live independently and maintain their accustomed quality of life and feel confident in whatever they do. However, the provision of low vision rehabilitation services can make a difference if orientation, training and enabling services can be done and train patients on usage of functional vision apart from prescribing low vision devices.

With positive impact on quality of life, (e.g., independent living, reading writing and all other works which a patients with low vision may be feeling hard to cope up with unlike employment, education etc) patients with low vision can lead a better life independently and perform all daily tasks on own.
